Waipuna for Tomorrow bequest programme was introduced by the Foundation Board in 2017 in recognition of the growing need for increased community support to ensure sufficient future funding.

The campaign was launched to raise awareness of the very real need for the community to support hospice services not only for today, but for tomorrow.

The Foundation board is aware contributions from the community are needed to ensure Hospice services are there when the need is – and indications are one in three people in the greater Tauranga community will need specialist end-of-life hospice care.

Individuals are urged to consider making a provision in their wills, bequeathing funds and assets, or making one-off or multi-year financial gifts to the Foundation during their lifetime.

Waipuna Hospice is reliant on the goodwill of the community today to protect the provision of free Hospice services for tomorrow.

“Just as others have done for us, it is now our turn to pay it forwards,” says Foundation Board chairman Bruce Cameron.
