Discover Matakana Island!

Meet at 8.30 am

Experience island culture and customs. Enjoy stunning views with interesting and varied terrain: farmland, hills, road and estuary. We will be walking from the wharf at Matakana Island to Te Ahipuhipuhi and over the hills. Join us for this 12 km remembrance walk open to families, friends… everyone!
Or anybody that is keen to visit or those that are curious minded and wish to see Matakana Island.

All proceeds for the hikoi will go to Waipuna Hospice, where Neil and whanau received such wonderful and loving care in his last weeks.

Everyone is welcome to take part for whatever reason.

WHAT TO BRING...

A packed lunch, drinks and snacks

Any required medication

Sturdy walking shoes and weather-appropriate, clothing (windproof jacket, sunhat, sunglasses; sunscreen, etc.)

Cash for barge: $10 adult return, $5 child return – payable direct to ferry.
Ferry leaves from Omokoroa Wharf using the already scheduled services.
We will be meeting at 8.30 am at the Omokoroa Ferry Terminal (The Esplanade, Omokoroa 3114) in order to catch the scheduled ferry departure of 9am.

INSTRUCTIONS

Tickets are $20 per adult, $10 per child (aged under 12yrs & under) and $50 per family (2 adult & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children). Please calculate the total of your tickets and enter the total amount at the top of the form.

After you enter you details please tick the ‘In Memoriam Donation?’ check box and put Matakana Walk in the details and the break down of your ticket, i.e. how many adult, children and family tickets.

All proceeds from the Neil Scott Memorial Walk go towards Waipuna Hospice and providing high quality end of life care. Thank you for your support.
