Our Hospice Chaplain is available for home or inpatient visits to discuss any aspect of spiritual wellbeing.
Donna Denmead has trained in Clinical Pastoral Education and Specialist Palliative Care Chaplaincy and is an accredited healthcare chaplain. Her role involves emotional and spiritual support of staff, patients and family members, supporting folk with and without a Christian faith and working closely with the broader faith communities of the Western Bay of Plenty. She is also part of the Waipuna Hospice education team and does a number of talks in aged care facilities and at the hospital in the areas of spiritual support and grief and loss.
